The Salins-d'Hyères are a salt marsh area located on the Mediterranean coast, in the commune of Hyères, in the Var department and the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. Constituting one of the most remarkable natural spaces on the Mediterranean coast, they were used for salt production until 1995.

Recognized for their birdlife since the 1970s, 298 species have been counted present at Salins since monitoring began in 2001, of which 51 are nesting, more or less regularly1. (source Wikipedia )
