Original Loizo illustration, NEW PAPER 270gr Lithographic type.
Signed by the artist and dry stamp of origin affixed.
With its marshes and salt marshes, Hyères is a privileged place for the passage of the Greater Flamingo (Phoenicopterus roseus). It is the only representative of the Flamingo family in Europe.
This large wading bird is distinguished by the more or less red color of its wing cover (wings) and a body perched on two long pink webbed legs.
Its body is white with pinkish tints. The tips of its wings are black.
Its neck is slender and long, ending in a head with a beak that is unusual in ornithology because it allows it to filter crustaceans and algae.
