Fort Brégançon is a state residence used as an official holiday resort (mainly summer) for the President of the French Republic.
It is located on the Mediterranean coast, in the municipality of Bormes-les-Mimosas (Var), on top of a rocky peak 35 meters high and a few meters from the coast of Cap Bénat. The construction of an artificial jetty was ordered by General de Gaulle (originally, it was separated from the coast by an arm of the sea and was therefore located on an island). This jetty was completed by a platform used as a parking lot for the site's personnel, which can also be used as a heliport.
